It was said, “Al-Shihab is ill”; I said, “Alas!”
It was said Al-Shahab is ill, I said alas
What is the matter with Ahmad, never free of ailments?

وزنweighing الرقايقthe subtleties منone who أضحىhas come to يحررهاrefines them
وزن الرقايق من أضحى يحررها
ووصفهand his description بفنونthrough the branches of العلمknowledge والعملand practice
ووصفه بفنون العلم والعمل
The weighing of subtleties by one who has come to refine them,
Weighing subtleties, he who analyzes them
and his description through the branches of knowledge and practice.
And describes them with knowledge and action
