وأهيف إن غضبت منه

Speak to me with contentment and use

يقابل البعد بالتداني

فلا غليظا يرى ولا فظ

He answers distance by drawing near,

A word to match the distance with nearness

so he is seen as neither harsh nor rude.

So no harshness is seen, nor coarseness
