فالدمع من عيني لهذا طليق
Alas for Egypt and its inhabitants!
My heart longs for Egypt and its people
So tears flow freely from my eye because of this.
Tears from my eyes flow freely for this
ماnot شاهدواالحشرthey witnessed the Resurrection ولاnor هولهits terror
ما شاهدواالحشر ولا هوله
فكيفso how قدalready ذاقواthey tasted عذابtorment الحريقthe blaze
فكيف قد ذاقوا عذاب الحريق
They have witnessed neither the Resurrection nor its terror;
They did not witness the Day of Gathering, nor its horrors
so how have they already tasted the torment of the blaze?
So how could they taste the torment of the blaze?
