يَاoh لَهُfor it مِنْof عَارِضٍa cheek رَاقَdelighted النَّظَرْthe gaze
يَا لَهُ مِنْ عَارِضٍ رَاقَ النَّظَرْ
وَسْمُهُits marking المَرْقُومْinscribed
وَسْمُهُ المَرْقُومْ
Oh, what a cheek! The gaze was delighted
O what a visage, alluring to behold
by its inscribed marking.
Its beauty marked
وَبِمِسْكِand with the musk of الخَالِthe mole فيin وَرْدِthe rose of الخَفَرْbashfulness
وَبِمِسْكِ الخَالِ في وَرْدِ الخَفَرْ
عَلَّمَmarked المَرْسُومْthe pictured form
عَلَّمَ المَرْسُومْ
And with the mole’s musk, amid the rose of bashfulness,
And by his mole amidst his blushing cheek
it marked the pictured form.
