يَا سَائِلِي عَنْ قهوةٍ

جُلِيَتْ بِأفْقِ الكَاسِ

O you who ask me about wine,

O you who ask about coffee,

unveiled at the horizon of the cup:

Whose horizon is gleaming in the cup,

فِيهَا كَبِيرُ الإثْمِ قُلْ

وَمَنَافِعٌ للنَّاسِ

وَمَنَافِعٌ للنَّاسِ

say, in it is great sin
