في قَاعَةِ الروضة سِلاَحْ للأزْهَارْ

في قَاعَةِ الروضة سِلاَحْ للأزْهَارْ

وَالسَّرْو أطْيَارْ والشقَائِقْ أتْرَاس

وَالسَّرْو أطْيَارْ والشقَائِقْ أتْرَاس

In the garden's court are weapons for the flowers.

In the garden hall are weapons for the flowers -

And the cypresses are birds, and the anemones shields.

The cypress, birds; poppies, battlements;

والقُضْب الأرْمَاحْ والجداول أسْيَافْ

والقُضْب الأرْمَاحْ والجداول أسْيَافْ

والطَّلْ نَشَّابْ وَالمَذَانب أقواس

والطَّلْ نَشَّابْ وَالمَذَانب أقواس

And the shoots are spears, and the streams swords.

Reeds, spears; streams, swords;

And the dew is arrows, and the watercourses bows.

The dew, youths; paths, bows.

وَالبَانْ سَنْجَقْ وَالعَبِيرْ طَرَّادَاتْ

وَالبَانْ سَنْجَقْ وَالعَبِيرْ طَرَّادَاتْ

والزنبق أعلامْ والمَمَاشي بُرْجَاسْ

والزنبق أعلامْ والمَمَاشي بُرْجَاسْ

And the ben tree is a standard, and the fragrance pennants.

Violets, standards; lilies, towers;

And the lilies are banners, and the walkways a target.

Narcissus, flags; spaces, keeps.
