مَنْhe who روىnarrated المجدglory عنon the authority of عُلاeminence عُمَرِUmar
مَنْ روى المجد عن عُلا عُمَرِ
بِطَرِيقِby the path of الصّحَاحْauthentic reports
بِطَرِيقِ الصّحَاحْ
He who narrated glory on the authority of Umar’s eminence,
Who irrigated glory from the elevation of a lifetime
by the path of authentic reports,
On the path of integrity,
وَسَرَىand journeyed by night فِيin النُّهَىminds علىaccording to قَدَرِmeasure
وَسَرَى فِي النُّهَى على قَدَرِ
بمطَايَاon the mounts of الفَلاَحْsuccess
بمطَايَا الفَلاَحْ
and journeyed by night through minds in due measure,
And flowed into prohibitions according to fate
on the mounts of success.
With the staffs of prosperity
