لَعَلَّperhaps بَشيراًa bearer of good tidings أوْor عَسَىperchance وَلَرُبَّمَاand perhaps
Halt, you two; let us ask the camel-driver about the moringa trees and the protected pasture.
Perhaps a bearer of good tidings—or perchance, and maybe.
وَلاَand do not تَنْسَيَاyou two forget عَهْداًa pledge تقَادَمَhas grown old ذِكْرُهُits memory
وَهَلْand does…? يَذْكُرُremember الإنْسَانُa person مَالاًwealth تَقَدَّمَاhad gone before
And do not forget, you two, a pledge whose memory has grown distant.
And does a person remember wealth from long ago?
