وَعَشِيَّةٍand an evening وَشَّىembroidered الأصيلُthe late afternoon أدِيمَهَاits skin
وَعَشِيَّةٍ وَشَّى الأصيلُ أدِيمَهَا
بالمِسْكِwith musk وَالكَافُورِand camphor وَالعِقْيَانِand pure gold
بالمِسْكِ وَالكَافُورِ وَالعِقْيَانِ
And an evening whose skin the late afternoon embroidered
A perfumed evening, and the chief spread her carpet
With musk and camphor and pure gold,
With musk, camphor, aloes wood -
كخريدةٍlike a maiden لَبِسَتْshe donned غِلاَلَةَa sheer robe سُنْدُسٍof fine silk
كخريدةٍ لَبِسَتْ غِلاَلَةَ سُنْدُسٍ
قَدْalready دُبِّجَتْwas brocaded بِبَدَائِعِwith wonders of الألوَانِthe colors
قَدْ دُبِّجَتْ بِبَدَائِعِ الألوَانِ
Like a maiden who donned a sheer robe of fine silk,
Like a bride donning a robe of brocade
Brocaded with wondrous colors.
