وَلَيْلٍ جَمَعْنَا فِيهِ أوْصَافَ رَوْضَةٍ

وَلَيْلٍ جَمَعْنَا فِيهِ أوْصَافَ رَوْضَةٍ

تَرُوقُ إذاَ مَا شُبِّهَتْ لِذَوِي النَّظَرْ

تَرُوقُ إذاَ مَا شُبِّهَتْ لِذَوِي النَّظَرْ

And a night in which we gathered the qualities of a garden

And a night in which we gathered descriptions of a garden

that delights discerning eyes when portrayed through likenesses:

That pleases when likened to those with insight

فَنَيِّرُنَا وَالزُّهْرُ وَالبَحْرُ وَالدُّجَى

فَنَيِّرُنَا وَالزُّهْرُ وَالبَحْرُ وَالدُّجَى

وَمَالِكُنَا وَالصَّحْبُ وَالرَّوْضُ وَالْمَطَرْ

وَمَالِكُنَا وَالصَّحْبُ وَالرَّوْضُ وَالْمَطَرْ

Thus our luminary, the bright stars, the sea, and the darkness,

Our light, and the flowers, and the sea, and the dew

and our master, the companions, the garden, and the rain,

And our companion, and the garden, and the rain

غَدِيرٌ وَرَيْحَانٌ وَرَوْحٌ وَنَرْجِسٌ

غَدِيرٌ وَرَيْحَانٌ وَرَوْحٌ وَنَرْجِسٌ

وَشَمْسٌ وَأفْقٌ وَالْكَوَاكب وَالدُّرَرْ

وَشَمْسٌ وَأفْقٌ وَالْكَوَاكب وَالدُّرَرْ

are a pool, sweet basil, refreshment, and narcissus,

A pond, basil, and soul, and daffodils

and a sun, a horizon, the stars, and the pearls.
