والثَّور هَلَّلْ والزُّبَانَا كَبَّرْ

والثَّور هَلَّلْ والزُّبَانَا كَبَّرْ

والغفر عزَّزْ والسَّمِيرْ وَحِّدْ

والغفر عزَّزْ والسَّمِيرْ وَحِّدْ

And Taurus proclaimed God's oneness, and al-Zubana proclaimed His greatness.

The bull rejoiced and the flies buzzed

And al-Ghafr lent support, and al-Samir professed God's oneness.

The hedgehog puffed up and the fish believed

والحوت آمِنْ والذرَاعْ لُو صَدّقْ

والحوت آمِنْ والذرَاعْ لُو صَدّقْ

والجَوْزَا تشهدْ والسِّمَاكْ قَدْ شَهَّدْ

والجَوْزَا تشهدْ والسِّمَاكْ قَدْ شَهَّدْ

And Pisces believed, and al-Dhira believed him.

The whale had faith and the arm, if it were truthful

And al-Jawza bears witness, and al-Simak has indeed testified.

The walnut testifies and the fish have borne witness

بِابْن الخَلُوفْ قَدْ فَاحْ نَشْر الخَلاَّقْ

بِابْن الخَلُوفْ قَدْ فَاحْ نَشْر الخَلاَّقْ

والوردْ ذكْرُو وَالأزَاهِرْ فِعْلُو

والوردْ ذكْرُو وَالأزَاهِرْ فِعْلُو

Through Ibn al-Khaluf, the Creator's fragrance has indeed spread.

With the son of the Khaloof, the creation blossomed

And roses are his renown, and blossoms his deeds.

The flowers remembered him and the buds acted

والنهرُ خُلْقُو وَالشَّقَائِقْ خَلْقُو

والنهرُ خُلْقُو وَالشَّقَائِقْ خَلْقُو

وَالبَانْ عَرْفُو وَالجَوَابِي فَضْلُو

وَالبَانْ عَرْفُو وَالجَوَابِي فَضْلُو

And the river is his character, and the anemones his form.

The river is his making and the anemones his creation

And the bān tree is his fragrance, and the basins his bounty.

The bee knew him and the streams his grace

وَالغُصْن قَلْمُو وَالجَدَاوِلْ طِرْسُو

وَالغُصْن قَلْمُو وَالجَدَاوِلْ طِرْسُو

وَالزَّهْر نَظْمُو وَالحَدَائِقْ قَوْلُو

وَالزَّهْر نَظْمُو وَالحَدَائِقْ قَوْلُو

And the branch is his pen, and the streams his parchment.

The branch his pen and the brooks his manuscript

And the flowers are his verse, and the gardens his words.

The blossoms his prose and the gardens his words
