وَبَحْرِيَّةِand a pool الأمْوَاجِthe waves هَاجَتْsurged فَخِلْتُهَاso I fancied it
وَبَحْرِيَّةِ الأمْوَاجِ هَاجَتْ فَخِلْتُهَا
نُثَارَa scattering لآلِيpearls فَوْقَupon صَرْحa pavilion مُمَرَّدِpolished smooth
نُثَارَ لآلِي فَوْقَ صَرْح مُمَرَّدِ
And a pool's waves surged, so I fancied it
My sea's waves surged, so I left them
A scattering of pearls upon a polished pavilion,
Scattered atop a towering palace
أوor الزُّهْرَthe bright stars فيin الآفَاقِthe horizons تُبْدِيgive forth أشِعَّةًrays
أو الزُّهْرَ في الآفَاقِ تُبْدِي أشِعَّةً
أوِor الزَّهْرَthe blossoms غِبَّafter القَطْرِthe rain فِيin رَوْضِهِits garden النَّدِيdewy
أوِ الزَّهْرَ غِبَّ القَطْرِ فِي رَوْضِهِ النَّدِي
Or bright stars across the horizons, shedding rays,
Or the flowers across horizons radiating rays
Or blossoms after the rain, in their dewy garden.
Or the rain-deprived flowers in their lush garden
