كحيلْkohl-eyed أسمرْdusky مْدَلَّلpampered
كحيلْ أسمرْ مْدَلَّل
قدhas (marks completion) أخْجلْput to shame كُلْevery أسْمَرْdusky man وَسَمْرَاand dusky woman
قد أخْجلْ كُلْ أسْمَرْ وَسَمْرَا
Kohl-eyed, dusky, pampered,
Dark-eyed, dusky skinned, alluring,
He has put every dusky man and woman to shame.
Shaming every dark and brown complexioned one,
نَقِيّspotless الثَّغرْthe teeth شَكَّلْtinged
نَقِيّ الثَّغرْ شَكَّلْ
بَيَاضْwhiteness خَدُّوhis cheek المُدَنَّرْround like a dinar بِحُمْرَاwith redness
بَيَاضْ خَدُّو المُدَنَّرْ بِحُمْرَا
With spotless teeth, he has tinged
Pure lipped, well formed,
The whiteness of his dinar-round cheek with red.
Whiteness of his cheek tinged with redness,
رشيقُgraceful القدّthe figure أهيفْslender-waisted
رشيقُ القدّ أهيفْ
سَبَىcaptivated البدْرthe full moon المُنَوَّرْradiant بِغُرَّهwith his bright brow
سَبَى البدْر المُنَوَّرْ بِغُرَّه
Graceful of figure, slender-waisted,
Slender of waist, delicate,
He captivated the radiant full moon with his bright brow.
