مَن باعَ هَمّا بِلِذَةٍ رَبِحا

مَن باعَ هَمّا بِلِذَةٍ رَبِحا

فَاِجعَل تِجاراتِ عَيشِكَ المَراحا

فَاِجعَل تِجاراتِ عَيشِكَ المَراحا

Whoever sells worry for pleasure profits.

Whoever sells worry for pleasure profits

So make the commerce of your life merriment.

So make the trades of your life joyful

وَوَدِّعِ الإِصطِباحَ مُغتَبِقاً

وَوَدِّعِ الإِصطِباحَ مُغتَبِقاً

وَاِستَقبِلِ الإِغتِباقَ مُصطَبِحا

وَاِستَقبِلِ الإِغتِباقَ مُصطَبِحا

And bid farewell to morning drinking while drinking in the evening;

And bid farewell to the gloom of mornings

And welcome evening drinking while drinking in the morning.

And face the evening glow with cheer

وَاِقدَح بِأَقداحِكَ السُرورَ فَكَم

وَاِقدَح بِأَقداحِكَ السُرورَ فَكَم

مِن قَدَحٍ لِلسُرورِ قُدِحا

مِن قَدَحٍ لِلسُرورِ قُدِحا

And kindle joy with your goblets—for many

And raise up cups of happiness for how many

a goblet has been struck for joy.

Cups of happiness can be raised

فَإِن قَبِلتَ الَّذي أَشَرتُ بِهِ

فَإِن قَبِلتَ الَّذي أَشَرتُ بِهِ

فَأَنتَ لِلوَقتِ تَربَحُ الفَرَحا

فَأَنتَ لِلوَقتِ تَربَحُ الفَرَحا

So if you accept what I have advised,

If you accept what I have gestured toward

then you will gain joy at once.

Then for this moment you gain happiness
