نَحنُ بَنو المُعجِزاتِ وَالحِكَمِ

نَحنُ بَنو المُعجِزاتِ وَالحِكَمِ

وَأَهلُ بَيتِ السَماحِ وَالكَرَمِ

وَأَهلُ بَيتِ السَماحِ وَالكَرَمِ

We are the sons of miracles and wisdom,

We are the people of miracles and wisdom

And the household of liberality and generosity.

And the family of generosity and nobility

قَومٌ إِذا الما الرَجاءُ يَمَّمَهُم

قَومٌ إِذا الما الرَجاءُ يَمَّمَهُم

قامَ لَهُ جودُهُم عَلى قَدَمِ

قامَ لَهُ جودُهُم عَلى قَدَمِ

A people who, whenever hope turns toward them,

A people whom when hope fills them

Their bounty rises to its feet for it.

Their generosity stands for it immediately

تَأمَنُ عَينُ المُقيمِ بَينَهُمُ

تَأمَنُ عَينُ المُقيمِ بَينَهُمُ

مِن أَن تَرى قُبحَ صورَةِ العَدَمِ

مِن أَن تَرى قُبحَ صورَةِ العَدَمِ

The eye of one dwelling among them is safe

The eye of the resident among them is reassured

From seeing the hideous form of destitution.

From seeing the ugliness of nothingness

إِن جَمَحَ المَجدُ أَدرَكوهُ عَلى

إِن جَمَحَ المَجدُ أَدرَكوهُ عَلى

ما رَكِبوا مِن سَوابِقِ الهِمَمِ

ما رَكِبوا مِن سَوابِقِ الهِمَمِ

If glory bolts, they overtake it upon

If glory collects they attain it

The swift steeds of resolve they ride.

Above what they rode of the zeal of ambitions

فَلا تَقِسُم بِغَيرِهِم أَبَداً

فَلا تَقِسُم بِغَيرِهِم أَبَداً

فَلَن تَكونَ الأَنوارُ كَالظُلَمِ

فَلَن تَكونَ الأَنوارُ كَالظُلَمِ

So never compare them with anyone else,

So never swear by other than them, ever

For lights will never be like darkness.

For the lights will never be like the darkness
