مِنَ الذِكرِ ما لا فَخرَ في لُبسِ مِثلِهِ

مِنَ الذِكرِ ما لا فَخرَ في لُبسِ مِثلِهِ

وَمِنهُ الَّذي في لِبسِهِ غايَةُ الفَخرِ

وَمِنهُ الَّذي في لِبسِهِ غايَةُ الفَخرِ

Some renown brings no pride in wearing its like;

Among memories, some lack pride in their attire

And some brings the utmost pride when worn.

While others take utmost pride in what they wear

فَلا تَقتَنِع مِنهُ بِما هُوَ ساذَجٌ

فَلا تَقتَنِع مِنهُ بِما هُوَ ساذَجٌ

وَلا تَرضَ إِلّا بِالمُطَرَّزِ بِالشُكرِ

وَلا تَرضَ إِلّا بِالمُطَرَّزِ بِالشُكرِ

So do not be content with its unadorned kind;

So do not settle for artless recollections

And be satisfied only with what is embroidered with gratitude.

And only accept those embroidered with gratitude
