She bore herself proudly above Caesar’s demure maidens,
The purple robes graced the Caesarean girls
a delicate maiden among Kisra’s bashful women.
Of the guards whose spears were ready to unfurl

The gauzy robes of her cheeks appear rose-tinted;
Her braided locks appeared a roseate hue
in them is a wealth of embroidered charms.
As flocks of beautiful women in them swirl

It is as though her forelock above her face
As though above her tiara in the night
were the night of sorrows over the dawn of joys.
Lay sorrow’s darkness at dawn’s joyous whirl
