راحاً مُعَتَّقَةً مِن عَهدِ سابورِ
Rise, let us drink in the morning among eglantines and stock blossoms,
Rise, let us have coffee amidst birdsong and pollen
wine aged since the time of Shapur.
Free from the bonds of times gone by

When unveiled in its glass flask, it is like
As if it were, when poured into its glass,
a body of fire in a robe of light.
A fiery body wrapped in luminous raiment

When froth rises over it as you mix it,
When bubbles froth atop it as it mixes
you would think it sandalwood beneath camphor.
One might think it a vial of camphor
