قَلَّrare is مَنone who يوجَدُis found فيamong الأَقbeginning of 'the peoples'
قَلَّ مَن يوجَدُ في الأَق
وامِcompletion of 'peoples' يَرجىcan be relied on لِلنوائِبfor calamities
وامِ يَرجى لِلنوائِب
Rare is one found among the peoples
Few are found in times
Who can be relied on in calamities.
Who hope for misfortunes
فَسَبيلُfor the path المَرءِof a man لاnot يَصbeginning of 'accompanies'
فَسَبيلُ المَرءِ لا يَص
حَبُcompletion of 'accompanies' طولَthroughout الدَهرِall time صاحِبa companion
حَبُ طولَ الدَهرِ صاحِب
For on a man's path, none accompanies him
So the way of a man does not stay
As a companion for all time.
