O you who wrong me in what you decree,

Murayyam is your ally in shunning me.

And I see him demanding my lifeblood as a fee; so if

I pay it, I can almost see you regretting it.

Ask the assayer of love whom you have employed

whether any past fidelity stands to my credit with him.

So when you act on his written statement handed to you,

sign a ruling granting me justice; otherwise, I am wronged.
