يا مُنبِتاً إِنصافَهُ
فيin رَوضِthe garden of عِشرَتِهِhis companionship الأَنيقِthe lovely
في رَوضِ عِشرَتِهِ الأَنيقِ
O you who make your fairness grow
O just grower
in the lovely garden of your companionship,
In the garden of his graceful companionship
شَوقيmy longing إِلَيكَfor you يُجِلُّis greater عَنthan
شَوقي إِلَيكَ يُجِلُّ عَن
شَوقِthe longing of الصَديقِthe friend إِلىfor الصَديقِthe friend
شَوقِ الصَديقِ إِلى الصَديقِ
My longing for you is greater than
My longing for you surpasses
a friend's longing for a friend.
A friend's longing for a friend
فَإِلىso until مَتىwhen لاnot نَلتَقيwe meet
فَإِلى مَتى لا نَلتَقي
إِلّاexcept عَنupon ظَهرِthe surface of الطَريقِthe road
إِلّا عَن ظَهرِ الطَريقِ
So how long shall we not meet
So when will we meet
except on the road?
Except in passing on the road
مِنof حَقِّthe right of صَفوِthe purity of إِخائِناour brotherhood
مِن حَقِّ صَفوِ إِخائِنا
أَلّاnot to يُكَدَّرَbe clouded بِالعُقوقِby disloyalty
أَلّا يُكَدَّرَ بِالعُقوقِ
The purity of our brotherhood deserves
It is the right of the purity of our brotherhood
