أَياO مَنyou who لَهُhe has وَجهٌa face قَدindeed اِجتَمَعَتhave gathered بِهِin it
أَيا مَن لَهُ وَجهٌ قَد اِجتَمَعَت بِهِ
مَحاسِنُbeauties مِنهاamong them مُمرِضٌone that sickens وَطَبيبُand a physician
مَحاسِنُ مِنها مُمرِضٌ وَطَبيبُ
O you in whose face have gathered
Oh you whose face combines
Beauties, among them a bringer of sickness and a physician,
All beauty, curer and disease,
نَصيبُكَyour share مِنof عُذريmy excuses عَلَيكَfor you مَوَفَّرٌample
نَصيبُكَ مِن عُذري عَلَيكَ مَوَفَّرٌ
فَماso why ليfor me ماnot ليfor me مِنof رِضاكَyour favor نَصيبُa share
فَما لي ما لي مِن رِضاكَ نَصيبُ
Your share of my excuses for you is ample;
My excuse to you is plentiful -
Why is it, then, that I have no share of your favor?
Yet of your favor I've no share.
