إِذا الحُبُّ لَم يَحفَظ لِشَكوايَ حُرمَةً

إِذا الحُبُّ لَم يَحفَظ لِشَكوايَ حُرمَةً

وَلَم يَرعَ في حِفظي لَهُ حُرمَةَ الحُبِّ

وَلَم يَرعَ في حِفظي لَهُ حُرمَةَ الحُبِّ

If love shows no respect for my lament,

If love did not preserve the sanctity of my complaints

and does not honor love's sanctity as I keep faith with it,

And did not take care in protecting me to preserve the sanctity of love

نَشَرتُ اِحتِمالي ثُمَّ غَطَّيتُهُ بِهِ

نَشَرتُ اِحتِمالي ثُمَّ غَطَّيتُهُ بِهِ

وَأَعطَيتُهُ مِنّي أَماناً مِنَ العَتبِ

وَأَعطَيتُهُ مِنّي أَماناً مِنَ العَتبِ

I spread out my forbearance, then cover love with it,

I spread my endurance then covered it with it

and grant it protection from my reproach.

And I gave it safety from me against reproach
