If he needs to preserve his dignity—
If your brother is in need of water for his face
Your brother—do not bid him abase himself before people.
Do not tell him to hide from people
فَماfor ... is not الشَهمُthe noble man إِلّاexcept مَنone whose رَفارِفُcanopies عَيشِهِhis life
فَما الشَهمُ إِلّا مَن رَفارِفُ عَيشِهِ

مُطَنَّبَةٌ بَينَ القَناعَةِ وَالياسِ
For the noble man is only he whose life's canopies
For shame belongs only to those whose life
Are stretched taut between contentment and despair.
Is adorned between contentment and despair
