I button my brocaded honors upon you,

And tie my favors upon you as black-dyed leather.

Nor am I one who, when a fugitive seeks refuge

From poverty in what his bounty offers, lets him escape.

The experts among the goldsmiths of giving became my pupils

When they saw a sample of the jewels of my bounty.
