لَولاهُ أَصبَحَ تالِفا
He turned a blind eye and made a fearful man safe;
He turned away, placated, though afraid,
but for him, that man would have perished.
Without him, affinity would surely fade.
سَكَنٌa beloved; a source of solace طَفِقتُI began لِعَفوِهِfor his pardon

بِيَدِ التَنَصُّلِ قاطِفا
A beloved, whose pardon I set about
With pardon he bestowed, tranquility found me,
plucking with the hand of apology,
Plucking with hands that longed to be free.

On a night when destiny pulled its snare,
its draperies over me.

If its hours were separated,
If its hours were related in full,
they would almost be tresses.
They would be as legends told.
