For you I have a sealed wine flagon,

And a wine flask of a thousandfold worth,

From noble vines—and it is impossible

For vines to be anything but generous.

And cups, the slender ones displayed

With their garlands, and others stout.

And conversation, from which I reserve for you

A remedy that heals ailing souls.

And if you wish for someone to sing, I have

A singing girl with melodious songs.

And by my life, with me you will not miss

A flower dwelling in the gardens of my meadow.

    أَنا مُستَنجِدٌ فَجُد بِالهَزيمَه

    So put my waiting to flight by hastening;

I seek aid, so grant me that rout.

Hasten the hour, for the sake of what I owe you

In favors and generous deeds of old.

Before youth flees; for however much

You seek it, you seek something hard to bridle.

And seize a day, for I am one

From whom holding back brings no gain.
