طَرفُ الشَبابِ جَموحُ

طَرفُ الشَبابِ جَموحُ

وَالاِنخِلاعُ مَليحُ

وَالاِنخِلاعُ مَليحُ

The steed of youth is headstrong,

And casting off restraint is sweet.

فَخَلِّياني أَغدو

فَخَلِّياني أَغدو

إِلى الهَوى وَأَروحُ

إِلى الهَوى وَأَروحُ

So let me set out at dawn

For love, and set out at dusk,

ما دامَ لَيلُ عِذاري

ما دامَ لَيلُ عِذاري

ما فيهِ نَجمٌ يَلوحُ

ما فيهِ نَجمٌ يَلوحُ

As long as the night of my cheek-down

Has no star gleaming in it.
