إِنّيindeed I لِآنَفُsurely disdain مِنfrom ثَغرٍa mouth أُقَبِّلُهُI kiss it
إِنif لَمnot يَكُنit is ثَغرَthe mouth of مَنone who ماnot مِنهُin his stead ليfor me عِوَضُa substitute
Indeed, I disdain any mouth I kiss,
Unless it is the mouth of one for whom I have no substitute.
لِأَنَّنيbecause I لَستُI am not أَرضىI am content with لَئمَkissing (probable correction) مُبتَسِمٍa smiling mouth
إِنif لَمnot يَكُنthere is لِيَfor me فيin إِغريضِهِits hail-white teeth غَرضُa desire
For I am not content to kiss a smiling mouth,
Unless I desire its hail-white teeth.
