Rise, let us behold the virgin wine whose body

Enchants us in the goblet’s robe,

Between lightning whose silk is yellow

And cloud whose brocade is dusky.

So the water in its pools is wild,

And the plants are unruly in their branches,

As though the scattered blooms of its stock-flowers

Were jewels, and it their mine.
