اِشرَبDrink عَلىbeside جَوهَرِjewels مَنثورِscattered
اِشرَب عَلى جَوهَرِ مَنثورِ
مِنfrom حَولِهِaround it حَليٌornaments مِنَof الخِيَريthe wallflowers
مِن حَولِهِ حَليٌ مِنَ الخِيَري
Drink amid scattered jewels,
Drink beside scattered jewels,
ringed with ornaments of wallflower blossom;
with ornaments of wallflowers around them,
مَشمولَةًwine cooled by the north wind يَسعىgoes about بِهاwith it شِبهُهاits likeness
مَشمولَةً يَسعى بِها شِبهُها
فيin الريحِfragrance وَالرِقَّةِand delicacy وَالنورِand radiance
في الريحِ وَالرِقَّةِ وَالنورِ
wine chilled by the north wind, borne round by one like it
a wine cooled by the north wind, carried round by one resembling it
in fragrance, delicacy, and radiance.

وَالأَرضُand the earth قَدindeed أَبدَتhas revealed لَناto us نَرجِساًnarcissi
وَالأَرضُ قَد أَبدَت لَنا نَرجِساً
كَصَندَلٍlike sandalwood مِنfrom حَولِaround كافورِcamphor
كَصَندَلٍ مِن حَولِ كافورِ
And the earth has shown us narcissi,
And the earth has indeed revealed narcissi to us,
like sandalwood encircling camphor.
