اِخلَعbestow عَلىupon العَينِthe eye حُلَّةَa robe الطَرَبِof rapture
اِخلَع عَلى العَينِ حُلَّةَ الطَرَبِ
وَطَرِّزِand embroider الإِقتِراحَthe wish بِالنُخَبِwith the choicest things
وَطَرِّزِ الإِقتِراحَ بِالنُخَبِ
Bestow upon the eye a robe of rapture,
Remove the veil of joy from the eye
and embroider your wish with the choicest things.
And adorn the proposal with the elite
وَاِجلُand unveil الَّتيher whom فيamong الوَرىmortals أَحَدٌsomeone
وَاِجلُ الَّتي في الوَرى أَحَدٌ
يَدفَعُهاdisowns her عَنfrom أُبُوَّةِthe fatherhood of العِنَبِthe grape
يَدفَعُها عَن أُبُوَّةِ العِنَبِ
And unveil her, whom someone among mortals
And hasten what in the land someone
disowns as a daughter of the grape.
Repels from the fatherhood of the grapes
فَالطَلُّfor the dew فَوقَover البِهارِthe oxeye blossoms مُنتَثِرٌscattered
فَالطَلُّ فَوقَ البِهارِ مُنتَثِرٌ
كَأَنَّهُas though it were فِضَّةٌsilver عَلىupon ذَهَبِgold
كَأَنَّهُ فِضَّةٌ عَلى ذَهَبِ
For dew is scattered over the oxeye blossoms,
So the dew above the flowers scattered
as though it were silver upon gold.
As if it were silver on gold
