باكِر عُقاراً كَدِمِ الذَبيحِ
فَيَومُناfor our day يَومٌa day خَفيفُlight الروحِof spirit
فَيَومُنا يَومٌ خَفيفُ الروحِ
Begin the morning with wine like the blood of the slaughtered one;
Early morning's incense is like the blood of sacrifice
For our day is a lighthearted day,
Our days are of light spirit
يَصلُحُis suitable لِلغَبوقُfor evening drinking وَالصَبوحِand morning drinking
يَصلُحُ لِلغَبوقُ وَالصَبوحِ
لاdo not تُفسِدِspoil الجَميلَthe beautiful بِالقَبيحِwith the ugly
لا تُفسِدِ الجَميلَ بِالقَبيحِ
Suited to evening drinking and morning drinking.
Well suited for trysts and dawn vigils
Do not spoil the beautiful with the ugly.
