وَقُلتُ لَهُ ظُلمي عَنِ الوَصلِ لا يَخفى
I submitted to him a petition concerning his turning away,
To it I sent a scroll of my sad plight
And said to him, 'My unjust exclusion from union is no secret.'
Saying, my long denial is thy blight

So he endorsed it, directing Union to come to my aid;
It signed my scroll to help me win unite
Then, when Union read it, he said, 'Yes, he shall be satisfied.'
No sooner read than Union said, “Well quite!”
