وَقائِلَةٍ أَراكَ لِغَيرِ كَسبِ

وَقائِلَةٍ أَراكَ لِغَيرِ كَسبِ

وَلَستَ تُفيقُ مِن أَكلٍ وَشُربِ

وَلَستَ تُفيقُ مِن أَكلٍ وَشُربِ

And a woman said, “I see you do not earn a living,

A woman said, I see you without purpose

and you never stop eating and drinking.

And you are not conscious due to eating and drinking

فَهَل مِن مَتجَرٍ لَكَ فيهِ رِبحٌ

فَهَل مِن مَتجَرٍ لَكَ فيهِ رِبحٌ

فَقُلتُ لَها نَعَم ثِقَتي بِرَبّي

فَقُلتُ لَها نَعَم ثِقَتي بِرَبّي

So have you a trade that brings you profit?”

Is there any profit for you in trade?

I said to her, “Yes—my trust in my Lord.”

So I said to her, yes my trust in my Lord
