صَفَّhe arranged صُدغاًa sidelock كصَدِّهٍlike his rejection
صَفَّ صُدغاً كصَدِّهٍ
فَوقَabove خَدٍّa cheek كَوَعدِهِlike his promise
فَوقَ خَدٍّ كَوَعدِهِ
He arranged a sidelock like his rejection
above a cheek like his promise.
حَسَنُbeautiful المُقلَتَينِthe two eyes قَدhas
حَسَنُ المُقلَتَينِ قَد
قَدَّcut قَلبيmy heart بِقَدِّهِwith his figure
قَدَّ قَلبي بِقَدِّهِ
The one with lovely eyes has
cut my heart with his figure.
مَزَجَتmingled مُقلَتيmy eye الدُموthe tears (first part)
مَزَجَت مُقلَتي الدُمو
عُcompletion of 'tears' دَماًblood بَعدَafter بُعدِهِhis departure
عُ دَماً بَعدَ بُعدِهِ
My eye mingled the tears
with blood after his departure.
فَاِعتَبِرso examine عَبرَتيmy tear تَجِدyou will find
فَاِعتَبِر عَبرَتي تَجِد
لَونهاits color لَونَthe color خَدِّهِof his cheek
لَونها لَونَ خَدِّهِ
So examine my tear: you will find
its color is the color of his cheek.
