ماno بَينَناbetween us فيregarding ذاكَthat مِنهُconcerning him خِلافُdisagreement
The Dyed One is surely engulfed in affliction;
Indeed, al-Khadib is in all-encompassing affliction.
among us, there is no disagreement about that.
There is no disagreement between us about that concerning him.
لاnot سَيِّماthe like (in 'especially') إِنif ظَلَّkept يَعمَلُhe makes نُسخَةًa copy
وَتَسَوَّدَتand turned black مِنهُof him بِهاthrough it الأَطرافُthe extremities
Especially if he keeps working on a manuscript copy,
Especially if he keeps making a copy,
and through it his fingertips turn black.
And his extremities turn black through it.
إِنif كانَhe was بَزّازاًa cloth merchant وَكانَand he was كَماas بَداhe appeared
فيهِin it بَداhe appeared وَكَأَنَّهُand as though he were إِسكافُa cobbler
If he is a cloth merchant, and is as he appears,
If he was a cloth merchant, and was as he appeared
he appears as though he were a cobbler.
In it, he appeared as though he were a cobbler.
