سَكَنٌ يَجودُ عَلى السُكَن

سَكَنٌ يَجودُ عَلى السُكَن

بِهَواهُ حِرتُ وَلَم أَكُن

بِهَواهُ حِرتُ وَلَم أَكُن

A beloved gives generously to the dwellers.

A calm that bestows itself upon calmness

In love for him I grew bewildered, though I had not been before.

I was perplexed by his passion yet I was not

ما فاهُ قَطُّ بِمَجلِسٍ

ما فاهُ قَطُّ بِمَجلِسٍ

إِلّا وَأَفحَمَ مَن وَمَن

إِلّا وَأَفحَمَ مَن وَمَن

Never did he speak in a gathering

His mouth never uttered in any gathering

without leaving this person and that speechless.

Except to defeat whoever debated him

فَإِذا أَرَدتَ تَنَزُّهاً

فَإِذا أَرَدتَ تَنَزُّهاً

فَاِنظُر إِلى الحُسنِ الحَسَنِ

فَاِنظُر إِلى الحُسنِ الحَسَنِ

So if you wish for recreation,

So if you want an excursion

then gaze upon beauty so fair.

Then look upon the beautiful beautiful one
