يا كَثيرَ الإِنخِلاعِ
وَقَليلَand little given to الإِرتِجاعِturning back
وَقَليلَ الإِرتِجاعِ
O you so prone to breaking away,
O you so often casting off restraint,
and so reluctant to return,
and so seldom turning back,

store up goodness as provision; and whatever
store up provisions of goodness where
evil you have been immersed in—beware.
you once stored up evil.

Tend, in your gray hairs, a guest
And tend the guest that is your gray hair,
who finds in you no one to care for him.
who finds no caretaker in you.

O companion of waywardness, from it
you will reap no benefit.
you gain no benefit.
