وَقَهوَةٍand wine كَخَلوقٍlike saffron perfume
وَقَهوَةٍ كَخَلوقٍ
يَفتَرُّsmiles عَنto reveal كافورِcamphor
يَفتَرُّ عَن كافورِ
And wine like saffron perfume,
And coffee like a spirit
smiling to reveal camphor;
Sighing camphor vapours forth,
كَأَنَّهاas though it were حينَwhen تُجلىis unveiled
كَأَنَّها حينَ تُجلى
فيin أَكؤُسِgoblets البِلورِcrystal
في أَكؤُسِ البِلورِ
as though, when unveiled
As if, when in the cups it glows,
in crystal goblets,
'Twere spirits of transfused light,
جُسومُbodies نارٍfire عَلَيهاupon them
جُسومُ نارٍ عَلَيها
غَلائِلٌgauzy robes مِنof نَورِblossoms
غَلائِلٌ مِن نَورِ
it were bodies of fire, wearing
Over whose surfaces there flows
gauzy robes of blossoms.
A flood of radiance soft and bright.
