لا تُعِر داعِيَ الخَلاعَةِ لَحظا

لا تُعِر داعِيَ الخَلاعَةِ لَحظا

لا وَلا تَسمَعَنَّهُ مِنكَ لِفظا

لا وَلا تَسمَعَنَّهُ مِنكَ لِفظا

Do not lend the caller to licentiousness a glance.

Do not pay any attention to the caller to decadence,

No, nor let him hear a word from you.

Nor allow any word of his to pass your ears.

وَإِذا ضاعَ لِلدِيانَةِ حَقٌّ

وَإِذا ضاعَ لِلدِيانَةِ حَقٌّ

فَاِعتَقِد أَنتَ لِلَّذي ضاعَ حِفظا

فَاِعتَقِد أَنتَ لِلَّذي ضاعَ حِفظا

And if a right of religion is lost,

And if the truth of religion is lost,

then commit yourself to safeguarding what was lost.

Adhere yourself to that which is lost as protection.

فَإِذا النُسكُ نالَ مِنكَ نَصيباً

فَإِذا النُسكُ نالَ مِنكَ نَصيباً

نِلتُ مِن عَفوِ خالِقِ الخَلقِ حَظا

نِلتُ مِن عَفوِ خالِقِ الخَلقِ حَظا

Then, if religious devotion receives a share from you,

So when devotion obtains a share from you,

I shall gain a share of the pardon of the Creator of creation.

You will obtain a portion of the pardon of the Creator of creation.
