دَعِleave المَعاصيsins عَنكَaway from you فيin مَعزِلٍa place apart
دَعِ المَعاصي عَنكَ في مَعزِلٍ
وَتُبand repent إِلىto مَنthe One who هُوَHe نِعمَexcellent is الغِياثthe helper
وَتُب إِلى مَن هُوَ نِعمَ الغِياث
Leave sins far removed from you,
Forsake transgressions in seclusion
And repent to Him, the most excellent helper.
And repent to the One of perfect succor
فَلَيسَfor … does not يَحظىwin بِجَديدِwith renewed الرِضاfavor
فَلَيسَ يَحظى بِجَديدِ الرِضا
عَبدٌa servant عَلَيهِupon him حَسَناتٌgood deeds رِثاثthreadbare
عَبدٌ عَلَيهِ حَسَناتٌ رِثاث
For renewed favor is not won
No slave with meager virtues shall gain
By a servant whose good deeds are threadbare.
