وَنَفسُكَ تَحتَ هِمَّتِها الحَضيضُ
The Pleiades lie beneath the shortest of your horns.
Your horns under its shortest Thuriya star
And the lowest depths lie beneath your soul’s ambition.
And your soul under its lowest ambition

فَلَم يَقعُد عَنِ النارِ القَريضُ
You killed my living promise with the sword of your stalling.
You have killed with your unsheathed sword, alive and fleeing
So verse did not hold back from the fire.
So the cold did not refrain from the fire

If faithfulness fails you concerning my rights,
When loyalty to you has refrained from my rights
Then you make no move to settle what is due.
Then you have no place in raging seas to rise
