Do not hoard wealth at the expense of praise, believing
Do not hoard wealth without giving praise,
that its owner will not replenish it if it is lost.
Believing that if its owner perishes, none will replace it.
فَالمالُfor wealth يَفنىperishes وَيَفنىand perishes مَنwhoever يَضِنُّis stingy بِهِwith it

For wealth perishes, and so does whoever is stingy with it,
For wealth vanishes, as does the miser who clings to it,
and praise endures, even if its earner does not.
While praise endures, even when the one who offers it is gone.
