لَناwe have أَخٌa brother مَنwhoever أَتىcomes إِلَيهِto him
لَنا أَخٌ مَن أَتى إِلَيهِ
فَكُلُّso all ماthat يَشتَهيhe desires لَدَيهِwith him
فَكُلُّ ما يَشتَهي لَدَيهِ
We have a brother: whoever comes to him
We have a brother who came to him
finds with him all he desires.
So all he desires is available to him
وَلّىhe appointed عَلىover ماwhat لِهِbelongs to him نَداهُhis generosity
وَلّى عَلى ما لِهِ نَداهُ
فَاَخرَجَand so he took الأَمرَthe matter عَنaway from يَدَيهِhis two hands
فَاَخرَجَ الأَمرَ عَن يَدَيهِ
He put his generosity in charge of what he owns,
He turned away from what called him
and so took the matter out of his own hands.
So he let the matter slip out of his hands
إِنif جاءَهُcomes to him القَصدُthe seeking of aid وَهوَwhile it is عارٍnaked
إِن جاءَهُ القَصدُ وَهوَ عارٍ
أَفرَغَhe draped دَستَa full suit of clothes الغِنىwealth عَلَيهِupon it
أَفرَغَ دَستَ الغِنى عَلَيهِ
If a plea comes to him naked,
If purpose comes to him while he is bare
he clothes it in the full raiment of wealth.
He pours the hand of riches upon it
