إِذا ما شِئتَ أَن تَغدو عَزيزاً

إِذا ما شِئتَ أَن تَغدو عَزيزاً

تُبَجَّلُ في الغُدُوِّ وَفي الرَواحِ

تُبَجَّلُ في الغُدُوِّ وَفي الرَواحِ

If you wish to become esteemed,

If you wish to live with honor

Honored in the morning and in the evening,

Respected when you set forth and when you rest

فَدونَكَ وَالصَلاحَ فَرُبَّ حالٍ

فَدونَكَ وَالصَلاحَ فَرُبَّ حالٍ

يَكونُ صَلاحَها بِيَدِ الصَلاحِ

يَكونُ صَلاحَها بِيَدِ الصَلاحِ

Then hold fast to righteousness, for many a condition

Then seek righteousness, for situations oft transform

Has its remedy in the hand of righteousness.

And righteousness in the hand transforms the rest
