أَورِق جَميلاً يَعيشَ المُستَطيلُ بِهِ

أَورِق جَميلاً يَعيشَ المُستَطيلُ بِهِ

فَهَكَذا غَرسٍ عودُهُ عودُ

فَهَكَذا غَرسٍ عودُهُ عودُ

Put forth kindness as leaves, that he who gains stature through it may live.

Blossom beautifully that the rectangle may live by it

For such is a sapling whose wood is aloeswood.

For thus the planted's stem is generous

وَجُد تَجِد ثَمَراتِ الحَمدِ يانِعَةً

وَجُد تَجِد ثَمَراتِ الحَمدِ يانِعَةً

فَلَيسَ يُحمَدُ إِلّا مَن لَهُ جودُ

فَلَيسَ يُحمَدُ إِلّا مَن لَهُ جودُ

And be generous: you will find the fruits of praise ripe.

Strive and you will find the fruits of praise ripened

For none is praised except one who is generous.

So none is praised but he who is generous
