And a slender-waisted youth—my gaze drew
And the slender one enticed my gaze
Delight from his cheek in the garden.
In the garden, with his soft cheek's allure,
لَمّاwhen تَبَدّىhe appeared رَناgazed إِلَيهِtoward him
لَمّا تَبَدّى رَنا إِلَيهِ

فَصَيَّرَ الشَربُ مِنهُ لاذا
When he appeared, my gaze turned toward him;
When he appeared before me with delight
Then drinking made fine silk of his cheek.
His drink made me find comfort.
فَقالَthen he said نَلtake ماwhat تَشاءُyou wish مِنهُfrom it
فَقالَ نَل ما تَشاءُ مِنهُ

فَقُلتُ مَن لي بِبَعضِ هَذا
He said, “Take whatever you wish from it.”
So he said, "Take whatever you wish from it"
I said, “Who can get me some of this?”
I said "Who could ask for more of this?"
