Give up greed for livelihood, however hard it is to obtain.
Leave greed for livelihood no matter how hard
And do not go to excess in seeking it.
And do not increase for it much in seeking

And trust in God, and never despair.
Trust in God, do not despair
For greed brings you every kind of toil.
Then greed will follow you all the fatigue

For many a livelihood comes to a young man
For the young man's sustenance may come
On its own two feet, from where he does not expect it.
To his feet from where he does not expect
