جَمالُbeauty رقيقِdelicate الخالِthe mole قدindeed جَاوزَhas exceeded الحدَّاthe limit
جَمالُ رقيقِ الخالِ قد جَاوزَ الحدَّا
أخوpossessor of هَيَفٍslenderness مالَswayed النسيمُthe breeze بهwith him قدّاin stature
أخو هَيَفٍ مالَ النسيمُ به قدّا
The beauty of the one with a delicate mole has exceeded all bounds.
The beauty of the soft-cheeked one has surpassed all bounds
A slender one, whose figure the breeze swayed.
The brother of slender palm swayed by the breeze to and fro
جميلٌa beautiful one رأتهshe saw him الشمسُthe sun فوقَabove جَمالِهَاher beauty
جميلٌ رأته الشمسُ فوقَ جَمالِهَا
فهامَتso she became enamored بهwith him وجداًin ardent love وقَبَّلتِand she kissed الخَدَّاthe cheek
فهامَت به وجداً وقَبَّلتِ الخَدَّا
A beautiful one whom the sun saw surpassing her own beauty.
Lovely is he whom the sun has seen, atop her splendor
So she fell passionately in love with him and kissed his cheek.
So she became enamored with passion for him, and kissed the cheek
